I did some research but couldn't find anything specific on it.

Does it matter how close the BOV is to the GM MAF?

I have seen some pictures with the BOV right before the GM MAF and ones up to 6" away.

There was a recommended distance that someone found. Had to do with turbulence caused by the BOV opening messing up the MAF-T reading. It was only a couple inches though.

I'd check out the distances that AGP and SBR use on their piping between the BOV and the MAF-T coupler. That'll give you a good idea what you should use.

You want the MAF to be right after the throttle body elbow so that you decrease the chances of boost leaks messing with your gas mileage and to get a more accurate reading on the exact amount of air entering the engine. On my car the BOV is probably a good 8" away from the MAF. I could imagine like someone said if it was only an inch away it could potentially mess with the readings when the BOV releases air.

technically you can put your BOV anywhere on the IC pipe, or any number of BOV's on the pipe as well. MAFT setups are genius, you can even blow off an IC pipe and the car will still run. How quaint.

Yes I have in the past.

I'm not sure why this would help me now since I'm making my ownpipes for a 1/4 of what it would cost to buy from someone like them. I know I didn't mention that in the beggining but I thought it might be obvious if I was asking the question.

No it wasn't obvious that you already looked there. Just like it wasn't obvious that you will be making you own pipes. If it was, I wouldn't have asked.

Good luck with the work.

Sorry, I should have been more specific in the begging.

Thanks for everyones thoughts.

It does make since about the interuption of air flow with it being too close. I will try to keep it as far as I can with the setup, wich should be around 4" ~ 8".

Thanks again.
