ok, i had my motor rebuilt recently. head was done stock but with all new parts. block was bored .20 over and stuffed with 2g pistons. i got the motor into the car and it started. obviously the isc motor was bad because the motor revved on its own a little. the next day it wouldnt start, but i did notice the oil pump nut had backed off and the belt had skipped teeth. I redid the timing belt. today i did a compression test to see if i had bent any new valves. i have 165 across all four cylinders except #3 which was slightly higher at 169. i tried a different CAS and still nothing. i have fuel and spark. why doesnt the car start now??? and the car is a 92 AWD TSI with 6 bolt

Is it trying to turn over? Mine was doing the same thing. Check for any leaks. I had an injector leak. We just replaced the botton injector seats and it started right up. Make sure you check the small stuff!

Is it possible that you have too much fuel? Connect your datalogger and check the COOL temp.
Did you make sure that the CAS was installed correctly?

Check the spark plugs and make sure they're not flooded/bad check the wires as well. If your motor actually revved while it was running it's probably because you have a vacuum leak somewhere, double check everything, if you start it up, it's quite easy to find the leak. Get some carb clean, and lightly spray all the vacuum lines and make sure you sprake the injector seal areas as well, you'll notice either the motor revving down or up if you hit a leak. Sometimes it takes a while for the engine to start after a rebuild, hook up a battery charger and crank it a few times, don't hold on too long tho cause you can burn out your starter like that. Also how are you checking that you have fuel, are you connecting a pressure gauge to the fuel line? Make sure you check for injector pulse from the ecu on all the injectors.
Hope this helped any.
