EGT gauge wires?

I picked up a used EGT gauge a few weeks ago. Im goint to put it in tonight but had a quick queston. There are 4 wires coming from the gauge, 2 are power and ground for the gauge to light its self up. Then Do the other 2 wires just go to the wires on the bung cable its self? Thanks for the help..

More than likely, yes. Who is the gauge manufacturer? I'm sure you can obtain a wiring diagram from them.

Yes you already answered your question in your post.

The red and black are to light it up. The other positive and negative terminal which should be like a screw/nut will be where the egt gauge wires hook on to then tightened by a bolt.

I myself have an autometer egt gauge. I use the TRE probe. works no problem, fast readings too.

Ok so the screw type connectors are for the probe. Then where do the other 2 wires go? That would make the white and black wires the gauge light, the screw connectors for the probe. Then are the red and black wires just another power and ground?

Yes the screw type is for the probe. The pair connected to the light is obviously for the light. power and ground. The other two is to power the gauge.
