Ok, so I just put on my evo3 and my 255 pump. I was wondering what fpr you all thought would work best. I was thinking the one on the main page for 155 from import evolution, the one that says it is a direct bolt on, will that one work well for me or should I get the aeromotive one? Thanks alot guys.

Rob,

I ordered the 2g bolt on FPR from import evoultion last time they were in stock, for my buddies 99 GST. The order was placed on a Friday and was to my house the following Wensday afternoon. Install was a pain because of space limitations but not impossible. The FPR is very good quality, and helped keep the 255 pump in check for stock injectors.

I say call them and find out how long the back order is. Then order one anyway...

i got an email a few hours ago stating they have been on order with the company that makes them for a long time and they dont know when there expecting another shipment and the best option would be to upgrade to the aeromotive unit for more. this is not the place to talk about anything vendor wise but needless to say im not to happy...

I'd go with the aeromotive kit personally. the fpr, gauge, and lines for 200 bucks. thats not a bad deal. when i go to a 255 in place of my 190 im gonna go with that. or an aeromotive at least.

I love my Aeromotive regulator. Making the stainless lines was the tricky part.

I ordered Import evolution's SS FPR kit, and I would say this is the best route to go. The only thing you would have to order is the FP guage (25-30 bucks). It has SS lines(no more worn rubber line worries) and an aeromotive unit, and all the mounting hardware. They also give you brackets if you want to mount the unit on the firewall because of space concerns. The kit itself is only 210, and thats only 60 bucks more than just the regulator itself. The FTS regulator is fine, but I would look to upgrade and get rid of some of the stock rubber fuel lines when the opportunity is given (the rubber lines are somewhat of a bottle neck in the system).

Thanks for all of the replies guys, I will probably go with the aeromotive kit they sell for $195 that is also on our front page. Thanks alot guys.

I just finished installing that kit about an hour ago with the Marshall gauge. Went fairly smoothly, and it's working great. Getting everything positioned is a little tricky in a 2G with A/C (like mine) but everything fits and it's not leaking :thumb:

I'll check tomorrow to see how much pressure it bled off overnight.

I also have the $195 kit from IE. I have my gauge mounted on top of my fuel filter, and I attached the fpr to the brake resovior(sp??) with the supplied bracket and also had to install the harder spring that comes with the kit(like the instructions recommended which I didnt read until after it was installed). I would also recommend on using yellow teflon tape as white (which they supply in the kit for some stupid reason) is only rated to be used in water and turns to swiss cheese in fuel, yellow is supposed to handle harsh chemicles. I meant to send them an email about it but never got around to it.

After about 20 hours the car started up as quickly as it ever did. The gauge read 0 psi before I started the car, but after 2 or 3 cranks (maybe a little over 1 second) it fired right up. Maybe if I'm bored some day I could try putting sealant on the adjustment rod to see if I can get it to start quicker, but this is fine for me.
