Ok, first off I am not sure if this is the proper location for this thread. If it is not let me know and I will pm a mod and ask them to move it. Now on to my problem.
My fuel pump quit working today and I have not determined why. Here is what I have done to diagnose this problem.
1) Check with a multimeter to see if and how much voltage I was receiving to the pump.
The wires were dead.
2) Checked the wire from the relay and it had power.
Diagnoses: I now know that there is either a break a break or a short somewhere between the relay and the pump. No big deal, I just did a re-wire and solved that problem. Now I have another problem. My fuel gauge is no longer working and I am not sure why. I checked the signal wire to see if it had power and it was dead as well. Instead of trying to find the break in it I am going to use an after market gauge but I need to know the ohms of the factory unit. I cannot find this anywhere on this site or the vfaq. I do not have caps so I am not sure if it will be there or not. Does anybody happen to know.

Good luck. Let me know if you need any more info. I've taken apart the whole fuel system....I can pretty much tell you where everything goes.
