i just got my joe p, i hear the fuel control solenoid is the better than the
throttle body tap is that true? If so where excatly is the fuel solenoid on a 2g?

DO any of you buy a Lo-Tek boost gauge?
is the one i am trying to install

also forgot to mention it is necessary to use a tee fitting on the BOV like the hallman MBC and others?

what do you exactly mean by the compressor housing? the one on the Tbody?

On your turbo, it is a little nipple that comes off the intake side of your turbo. There will be your BCS hooked up to it right now, you can just pull that hose off you will not need it. Hope that helps!

Mike

I think there might be some confusion. The 96TalonAWD is looking to hook up a MBC, but I think he is confusing the instructions with that refering to a boost guage. I am currently looking at this as well, and I remember those two specific points as hookup points for a boost guage.

For MBC, you use the nipple on the lower intercooler pipe, just downstream of the turbo, and the nipple on the wastegate.

Yes I think there is a little confusion but I think he is refering to an MBC, and mabye got the wrong directions from somewhere.

Just to avoid even more confusion, the nipple is actually on the compressor housing and not the outlet elbow like on our cars.

Please let us know if you have gotten this figured out yet, and make sure you have an aftermarket boost gauge before you install the MBC.

I t'd off of the vaccuum line from the intake manifold to the BOV. For my boost gauge I t'd of the vaccuum line from to the fpr.

Later,

jajajjaj thats right i was confused like a sucker. I am good with the MBC
now i am going to do that way instead of the tee in the BOV. But with the boost gauge i am not 100% sure about the fuel solenoid location on my 2g? And which of the 2 lines i have to tee.

is FPR and fuel pressure solenoid the same. i dont even know which one is the vacumm hose in the solenoid. they go from hose to metal hose and go way down the engine bay.

just a note mine is a 2g!!!

yea, I won't venture a guess on the 2g car, and I'm still a bit in the dark as to the exact location for mine as well. The pic at the site I saw was a bit hard to really see. My guage (autometer Phantom -30, 0, 30 black) comes in tomorrow, I hope I get it right. :D
