Internal vs. External Wastegate

What is the benefits and disadvantages of these two setups?
Not sure whether to get a internally gated turbo or what.
Please help

External wastegate setups are more for higher HP setups and supposedly better!

Internal gate's only plus side is cost. It's only an extra $150 or so to get an internal gate put on a turbo. External costs run a minimum of $250 for a POS Turbonetics Deltagate, and can run up to $500 for a 46mm Tial gate. Then you have to include machining costs to get it mounted to the exh. manifold, OR the cost of a custom made O2 housing. O2 housings can run upwards of $300 for a good 3" SS unit.
A good external gate/O2 housing combo can run you $700 easily, as compared to a $150 internal gate.

Performance wise, everyone says that O2 mounted gates work better, control boost better etc. But some of the O2 housings tend to crack due to the weight of the gate, vibration and heat. Buschur swears up and down by the manifold mounted gate. Whichever floats your boat. Manifold mounted is cheaper obviously.
