this is to anybody that has a 2g with an agp or sbr turbo with the bigger of the 2 compressor housings, i forget the exact name of it. did you guys dent your water pipes and how much did you have to? i have to do mine tommorow

I have an L2R with the E comp cover. When I installed it, it appeared that i would have to dent the pipe a good bit. I dont like doing this. Crushing that pipe, regardless of what people say, restricts coolant flow. You may not have any probs, but its still not flowing as it should be. I opted to use a 1/2" steel spacer plate between the head and exhaust manni. I have the one from HRC. Its pretty cheap, and I have had no probs with it. This is actually the 2nd turbo I have used it with. I think its only like $35 ro so. And a couple bucks for the longer studs. Works great. Just clears the water pipe. And no other fitment issues. I did have to lose the drivers side fan. But even with no spacer, I think this is the case.

Totally off-topic, but GSX4LIFE has one of the nicest, non-riced engine compartments I've seen. Nice work, GSX!

dont forget the arp long studs. its a good idea so soak the old studs in PB blaster or wd40 for at least 15-20 minutes before you remove them.

should go back together next weekend now
I think your gonna be much happier with using the spacer. I totally agree with GSX4LIFE...... Its just not worth it to me to go beatinr sh*t in with a hammer. The spacer and longer studs just seem to be a "better" solution when you need the additional room.
