Turbo upgrade

I have heard of people upgrading their turbo. does this just mean that tehy are getting a new one or are they fixing their current one. If they are fixing their old one up then can you explain to me how it would be done?

Upgrading, means getting a new one. Usually to a higher flowing better built unit, that has been built for the sole purpose of making a DSM go faster. Look at the upgrade page before even thinking of a larger turbo, though.It is better to be fully modded, before upgrading the turbo.
