Well it could very much be the leak from the valve cover. Altho I would check the oil pump just to make shure. You need to loose that breather stat and get a that catch can installed. Try fixing the leak and let us know your results if you need further information :thumb: :dsm:

Thanks for all your help booosted alright well the catch can should be coming in within 15 days i have to get paid first ...LOL....and how would i go about checking the oil pump

Ask your local friendly auto mechanic to borrow his oil pressure gauge and remove the pressure sending unit by the filter and check the oil pressure at idle and have a friend rev the motor slowly to each 1000 rpm increment up to say 5k or 6k and see what it reads. It should rise about 10psi for each 1000 rpm's. Sending units go bad especially after 13 years! Heck buy a gauge if you are going to be doing auto work for the forseeable future. Mark
PS: There are 2 sending units, one for the gauge and one for the light. You want the one for the gauge. Just pull the wire and see if the gAUGE GOES TO ZERO TO FIND THE RIGHT ONE.

I agree. The sending units go bad, and they are known for that. WHat i did was exactly this. WHenever i work on my car I, I hook up my mechanical. W/ a mechanical you DON'T want to have it in the car cause if you spring a leak theres gonnna be oil all up in your shit.

Thanks for all your help.Ok i know exactly what unit you guys are talking about now what oil pressure gauge would you recommend and when i get it do i just connect it to that unit.
