Extereme 3in Exhaust?

LISTEN FELLAS I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU FEEL (IF YOU DO AT ALL) OR IF YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE -AS FAR AS SOUND, LOOKS, AND PERFORMANCE- OF EXTREME MS 3IN CATBACK EXHAUST.

AND IF YOU TAKE IT ANOTHER STEP FURTHER FOR ME, AND WERE ABLE TO COMPARE IT TO A THERMAL 3 IN.....WELL THEN

IT WILL BE A FULL TURBO BACK 3IN SO IF THAT HELPS...JUST DECIDING ON THE MUFFLER NOW

MY MAIN CONCERN IS WANTING TO HEAR THE ENGINE NOT MY EXAUST...DONT GET ME WRONG I LIKE THE SOUND OF A CLEAN EXHAUST NOTE BUT THE SOUND OF MY ENGINE IS WHAT TICKLES MY FANCY...

Anything 3inch O2-elim back is going to be loud. a thermal is one of the quiter exhausts I have heard.

I have the extreme and compared to others its really not too loud, but doesnt sound as cool IMO. The thermal is the quietest Ive ever heard for a 3" turbo back. The extreme is very straight threw and a true 3" all the way with minimal bends and no neck downs at all. Its pretty good for the money. If I did it again Id probably get somethign similar but go with an N1 catback cause they just sound to good!!

i thought that the Thermal R&D was supposed to be one of the loudest exhausts? I guess im confusing it with something else.

absolutely, the thermal is the quietest Ive hear by far. By "cool" I just meant it doesnt sound as good as an N1 (my personal favorite sound). I just think N1's sound great as long as they are 3" turbo back w/no cat. The muffler that it comes with is a magnaflow, which are pretty popular, they look and sound ok IMO. I dont really care about that though which is why I got it. It is really nice quality and has very few/major bends and is complete 3" right off the turbo straight to the muffler tip Its a nice exhaust, but others can be had just as nice for the same price or sheaper. Try out AHP, or maybe just buy the DP and get a nice sound catback light the thermal, RSR or N1 If you want send me your email and Ill send you a pic of it

yeah the thermal is super quiet. the sound at idle is very cool. sounds like a rx7, honesty i like the sound of the atr much better.

I have the DSM-Performance 3" SS O2 eliminator Turbo Back exhuaust with race pipe and it is loud, sounds great when the turbo spools up and your getting on it. But, on the other hand cruising the highway the resonance in the cabin can give you a headache. So I ordered a SS 3"Resonator and hopefully that will cure my problem.

Oh Yeah! Loud Exhaust = Everyone wants to race. Not a bad thing though.

i really like how you guys are explaining the thermal... cus i was afraid that getting into the world of imports meant very loud exhausts if i wanted performance...

how loud is the "N1"? how is it cruising on the highway? a lot of people seem to be fans of this catback...

im new to all dsm exahausts... is there a site with sound clips of them?

I run Extreme 3in. turbo back. No cat, no resonator. It was really loud at first, but then it mellowed out after a couple weeks. Love the way it sounds nice deep rumble. Looks are spot on 1G's but the Thermal does look better on the 2G's. Hope this helps
