I'm about to get a new bov and wanted to know which one is the best performing and sounding on an automatic?

RFL of course! You don't lift to shift so you don't get the blow off between gears, only when you let off the throttle.

How much rice do you want with it?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Tial has a great product, but probably overkill for you.

The Greedy is good if your staying under 20psi and want some rice. If you don't need rice get a 1g BOV.

Of course all this is in the tuning guide, but your probably just a kid, enjoy those teenagers before they become illegal for you.

Thanks for the info guys...
By the way nothing stock I'm a grown man.
Any opinions on the hks ssbov?

1G BOV all the way :thumb: ... Some BOVs sound different. The whoosh sound you like is up to you.

Exactly.

We can't tell you the best sounding becasue we all like different BOV sounds.

I have an RFL I love the sound It sounds like a giant whip cracking@20psi.

1G Bov. Cheap, effective, and just loud enough to let that guy next to you know he just got spanked by a turbo DSM.

The HKS SSQV is awesome. i use it and I have no idle problems or fuel issues. Its a pull type so its pretty much idiot proof.

As far as loud its like apples and oranges.

The Greddy has that little "whistle" that I like but not quite that loud.

The RFL is exactly that but some have had problems with running rich with this vented. But it has the deepest loudest PSHHHHH of the ones here.

The HKS SSQV has a distinct high pitch PSHHH and sticks out among the rest. It is also a pull type BOV which should not leak under idle vacume. You can also get adjustable inserts that change the pitch of the PSSSHHHHT noise.

When I bought mine I just wanted nice looking and funtional. If all I wanted was dollar per dollar performance I would get a 1G BOV or a Greddy. The HKS is like 200+ bucks. Unless Japandy has some cheaper :)

i like my hks ssq bov but at times(im a/t too) when i let off the gas i fell like people think that im showing off. im still glad that i got it though.

I use a Greddy and like it. I too have an automatic aka no blowoff between shifts. But Im told that you can hear the BOV from quite aways away, and I still run the dump tube. You can do away witht he dump tube using an A/F controller, or plug the dump tube with something, but leave a 1/4" hole inside..or your car will die. Using the dump tube the BOV makes a slight whistle after the initial whoosh sound. Without the dump tube no whistle is made. Th Super Sequential i beleive doesnt have a hookup for the dump tube. but I hear is loud. Most guys I've met prefer the Greddy.

i love the sound of my apex-i bov but all ive ever heard was a 1g and a greddy i believe im louder than the greddy but its all up to you try and drive in a few cars that have dif models either way anything you get will sound way better than stock :thumb:

i have an auto... and i haven't heard any other bov's than the greddy type s i have... but its sounds pretty good, and its loud enough for people to hear it...

when i first got it, everyone who got in the car was like "what the F was that?!?!?!? is you're car broken???" LOL...

i remember the first day i got my HKS on. i was drivin thru the mall parking lot and i see a cat sitting in a lil grass field about 50 feet away. i turn to my friend and go "hey, watch this"
revved the engine up to redline, and let off that distinctive HKS whistle. the cat jumped like 2 feet in the air, did a 180, and got the hell outta there. wish i had my video camera.

i also scared a few people at biketoberfest. drunk ppl rock.
