I have a Walbro-255 LPH High Pressure Fuel Pump with 750 cc injectors and a 56trim PTE turbo. Ive heard that most cars dont realy need a performance fuel rail but i wasent sure at wut point i would need it. DO you guys think at this point i will?

yea i was deffenetly planning on that. About at what point do you think i would need to get an aftermarket fuel rail

you need atleast 600 horses before you start thinking about one. 95% of people never need one.

you can dramatically increase fuel flow, cylinder balance, and lower your egt's by replumbing the fuel feed line fom the filter. and definatly get a remote mounted afpr to keep your fuel pressure in check, and to keep a healthy diet going to runt of the litter: #1 cylinder.
get rid of that rediculous banjo bolt restriction. and the tiny fuel rail inlet adaptor. you can upgrade to -6 line or -8 if you must. the stock fuel filter is a restriction as well, but i'd stick with it until you actually replace all the stock hardline fom the tank to the rail with -6 or -8.
sbr makes feed replacement kits for 90 bucks.
if you don't yet have a regulator. you can't get much better than this deal

high flow fuel system
not a bad price. it won't be easy to overpower this fuel system.

stock rail is beefy. its by no means the weak point.

no need for more unless you just want to spend money on looks. even at that, i'd just get the stocker powdercoated.

Yeah, I rarely see DSM'ers with aftermarket fuel rails. They're just not needed up to the point where most people are gonna mod. Again, I would make sure to get an AFPR real soon.

just fyi if your planning on going with an aftermarket fuel rail (although it looks like everyones telling you not to) there is one thats 5/8 inch ID (might be the aem, but i think the aem is 1/2 inch) and there is also the FIC 10 an- fuel rail for 165 at fuelinjectorclinic.com

the aem seems a little overpriced, but does look very nice (flashy)

slowboy is making 707whp on one of thier shop cars...with a stock fuel rail.

i'd recommend this set up (done it on my car) : http://stevetek.com/R-FuelSys2G.html

and an aeromotive or similar afpr to go with ## 255hp as the 255 in some (not many) instances has caused problems with the stock fpr.

good luck

I have yet to see a 255 setup that does not overrun the stock fpr unless the o-ring on the pump was ripped. Just because you don't feel the problem doesn't mean it isn't there.

there isnt a need for a rail. the only reason someone would need it is if you were upgrading your fuel lines. you need AN fittings and fuel injector clinic sells a modified rail for this. the stock rail isnt going to limit you. you can modify this yourself if you are a machinist or have access to a shop

as for a fuel pressure regulator you can get a fpr install kit from fuel injector clinic that has a factory style fitting for the end of the fuel line. this will allow you to mount an aeromotive regulator away from the rail using the -6 line included

I would stick to AEM parts, I do have the fuel rail and as well as the UFPR. Both works fine for me.
THe FPR is a 1:1 Ratio unlike the makes of adjustable FPR's.

Such as? Every AFPR listed under our parts catalog is a 1:1 fpr.

Yes But I dont mean our catalog, They are ones off ebay and B&M ones that are no good for boosted cars.

I know AEM and Aeromotive make one of the best ones for dsmers.

30 psi, large injectors and a 60-1 compressor wheel here w/ stock fuel rail and a walbro 255 HP. There comes a time when the HP 255 is better than the low pressure 255. This is one of them. High boost is where a rail upgrade probably will come in handy. But A HP fuel pump will compensate.
