Fuel Hydrolock?

When I started my car this morning it ran for a little while, but then died and would not start up again. I ended up just taking another vehicle to work because I didn't have time to dick around with it. When I got back, I though I would take a look at the plugs. When I pulled them out all of them were covered in gas. Then I though I would just turn the fuel pump on to see if it was working properly. The pump did its job, but it was just forcing fuel past the injectors just with KOEO(not running). What I'm wondering is if the stock fuel pressure regulator is dead, and not allowing fuel past? I think I have put off an AFPR too long. Yes I do have a 255lph pump. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

what fuel management are you using? on a dsm that was flooded, i unplugged the injectors and cranked the car over a couple of times to kill the left over fuel. i then plugged the injectors back in and started her right up.

Fuel should not be allowed to "force" through the injectors because of the way they are designed. Maybe your fuel filter was so dirty that some of that dirt got into your injectors and is making them stick open. That's the only thing I can think of. But did you actually pull the injectors out and watch fuel run out them them with KOEO?
