Help me identify my BOV?? LoL

Well.. One of the many downsides of buying a pre modded car is that you're unable to figure out wtf some of your parts are.. hehe.. Owner told me this is a "Blitz Type-S" BOV. Said he'd used an HKS BOV prior to this one, said he got tired of how noisy it was... This BOV produces a flat, "blowing air" sound rather than any sort of a whistle you'd get with others..

thinking of upgrading to something a little more noisy... the sort of BOV you can hear three blocks away... hehehe

if your going to get the hks ssqv.. keep in mind you might.. err have to change the bov flange on your pipe. i dont know if you want to go through all the trouble just to change the sound. from looking at that pic, you will most likely have to flange the pipe for hks ssqv. personally.. i'd just stay with the blitz. to tell you the truth i have the hks ssqv.. and a lot of people have or want it as well.. and like most bovs.. youll end up getting bored of it after a while anyways..

I have an SSQV vented and it's really loud when up in high rpm's and the boost kicks in. It can be heard from about a street down. I personally love the sound but it kinda makes me feel like im showing off too much

i read that you can get new inserts for em(?)

the sound of the hks ssqv bov.. and the inserts wont matter if you recirculate it.. because once you do.. i hear its pretty quiet..

do the inserts do much when you vent to atmosphere?

ahh i forgot u dont have 4g63.. i was just letting you know.. the inserts described on websites make a lower pitched sound compared to the usual highpitched/wistle sound..

it slightly changes the way it sounds basically..

so u finally fixed your bov problems?

i have the type s vented and its very loud...and i havent gotten bored if it yet
