new turbo set-up...what should I do

Well its finally done... I installed a new turbo w/ other stuff on my 95 gsx after being parked for 4 months. what preperations should I make, settings, boost levels, what you feel would be critical, before I test, tune, drive around? Here is the set-up i have right now (turbonetics 18g w/deltagate off 02 housing, mbc, stock dp, testpipe, 3" exhaust, greddy bov and piping, injen intake, rre j-pipe, 190lph walbro, afr&boost guages, timer) sorry for the long post but there is such info overload that i dont have time to go through it all. I'm just looking for advise what to be careful about i invested alot of money and i am tapped out right now. the car started and sounded good but haven't drove it yet. :thumb: :dsm:
 
It seems to me that there are a few loopholes in your setup. I know you probably already know, but I would recommend DP/o2,injectors, afc and something to tune with as well as an EGT gauge. For now Id jus ttry tuning with about 14-15psi since you dont have to much back up for the turbo and piping. Anyhow just take it slow and pretty much guess by seat of the pants since you really have nothing to tune with.
 
To be safe for the first 100 miles, keep your boost as low as the Wastegate will allow -- so you can get everything dialed in (fuel)... after that, go ahead and have fun.

You'll max out your stock injectors quickly with that setup, so keep an eye on your EGT Gauge -- you will need to add fuel with your AFC.

Get a set of 660s as soon as you can.... I wouldn't suggest 550's as you can max them out too easily.
 
thanks so far for the advise. I know that the turbo set-up was pretty intense for my support mods, but would you turn down a freshly built 18g with ported 7cm housing, tubular o2 with deltagate for 950. and what about the new bov from greddy, any messy with that or should it be good to go right now?
