Ok, so I am trying to plan out the rest of my exhaust and need to get a little issue resolved. I have the Thermal R&D Catback, and I have the Megan 3" cat eliminating downpipe. The catback is installed and the downpipe is sitting in my room. I am having the fitment issues with the downpipe because the o2 housing has a smaller flange then the downpipe. I have read around the forums and found that the evo o2 housing has a larger stud spacing then the stock spacing. Since a wider stud spacing is what I need, will this work on my application? I herd it has a different angle to it. I am not sure what to go with. I really would love to get an o2 dump but the only place I buy my parts from (SBR) doesn't have one that would fit a 3" downpipe. Any ideas? I did search the topic but couldn't really come up with a definite answer to my situation. Thanks!

I DO know that I will have to cut the flange off of the Thermal Catback to make it a full 3inch system.

i have the EVO O2 housing on my TO4B-Vtrim. i ended up buy the RRE down pipe do to the fact that the EVO housing does have a slight angle to it.

you can normally make it work, but you put a lot of stress on your flex section and also on the turbo itself. reason being is that the extra tension when you tighten the downpipe to the housing, it pulls downward on the turbo/manifold.

ported evo III O2 housings are around 2.75" diameter i think anyway. My RRE stuff is quality stainless and i would suggest getting one of those DPs if you're going with the housing. others my fit, you'll just have to make it work. hoped it helped.

I'll tell you what I did. I used an even worst downpipe... it was a 3inch one I got off ebaby (can you say tsudo?) You need to drill the holes on the downpipe flange that is going into the housing to be an oval shape. well... you do need to put a good amount of stress of the flex. The first time I did it.. my gasket burnt out in a day and the flex broke in 2 days (there is noooo flex at all with the given flex section anyways)... so I cut the flex out and went to Meineke and my friend welded on a 3 inch dual layer flex... allows a nice flex to it. I had it on for about 6 months now and never had a problem.

Thanks for the responses guys! Do you have any suggestions for other o2 housings other then the evo 02 housing? I do want something that dumps but if I must, I will get the evo.
