Wheres a good place to get a cheap, but good o2 eliminator downpipe? I was looking at the one at rnrracing.com , for $330, is that a good choice?

That is where i got mine, and I love it... but... you are going to need a slimline fan when you put it in. :) oh... and although it is good craftsmanship, it took him forever to get it to me... just figured i would let you know! but he has the best prices and stuff if you ask me!

What is a slimline fan??? Like an electric radiator fan? Where can I get one for cheap?

Also, what are the approx. hp gains of a o2 elim. downpipe?

whats this?? you really need a slimline fan if you get there 3inch turbo back? i am assuming that goes in place of the ac fan right??? Well crap..know one told me about this. I was just figuring it was a direct bolt on. How much does one of those cost?

We now make the 02 elim downpipes so that you no loner need a slim fan for your AC. So it's a complete bolt on. Email me if you have any questions about our products. We have also released our FMIC kits which are lowest price on the market. [email protected]

I just ordered a 3" o2 eliminator downpipe with atmosphere dump for the 98 GSX. I'll let everyone know how it turns out, it should help a great deal.

Ryan you got mail ;)

Im going to be doing the same thing except im thinkin about losing the cat altogether. If i do this will the exhaust be loud. The reason i wonder is because i dont want to have a very loud exhaust but i do want to be as free flowing as possible.

If you go 2.5" it won't be as loud as a 3" system. And will still take you into the 12s. Having a system without a cat will be louder than with one, no matter what size.

Of course it will be louder, i know that. i was just curious if it will be obnoxious. I don't mind a little noise but too much is not a good thing.

Well, loud is subjective. What's loud to one person may not be to another. Anyway, I don't think mine's loud at all. It's a 2.5" O2 elim turbo-back, no cat, straight-through muffler.

ya its going to be a little louder. I dont think its going to be COP PLZ PULL ME OVER LOUD. I am only going with the HF cat not because of the overall sound or emissons but because i hear from john that the HF actually deepens the sound. Heheh i like a mean deep sounding exhuast

As long as it will put me into the mid 12's i be alright.

yeah im just going for a nice sounding not annoying type of exhaust. I dont have my car together yet so i dont know what it sounded like in the first place. If i put the turbo back on and it sounded like a fart cannon in anyway i think i would have to shoot myself. There are so many of those around here its sick. I dont want to be the one to chalk one up for the ricers.

Turbo Guru, please email me again at [email protected] with your phone number because my emails keep getting returned to me. Once you email me your phone number then we can get your order done. Ryan

One of my buddy on the board just received their O2 eliminator DP not too long ago. Boy, am I not impressed with their welding and touch up. We found a few holes on the weld joint when he brought it out at the meeting. All local DSMers looked at it and gave the thumbs down. You will need to port/clean the inside to make it look decent. We've found metal burrs sticking out that need to be removed. Now, he is thinking of bringing it to a local exhaust shop to have them touch up the weld. He waited around 3 weeks for the DP and didnt want to send it back and wait again. I was embarassed because I was the one recommending him to RnR after hearing good things about them.

Just to let you guys know about this possibly *isolated* incident.

Yes, that was an isolated issue with that downpipe. The problem was we had a to use gas that doesn't work well with our welder. It was all that was available at the time. A couple orders went out the welds weren't near as nice as usual.

I guess a fin pin holes got overlooked. We stand behind our work and ahve your friend send it back adn we will fix it and send it back the same day. There will never be a situation where you will have to grind. I can also say this will never happen in the future.

We want our customers to be happy with our products adn do our best to make that happen. Thanks Ryan

The muffler that comes with it is a basic oval turbo muffler. I highly recommend our SS muffler option $50. It is straight through design and very high quality. It's from a company called Bullet and it comes all polished.
