3" exhuast clamp

Hello. every one.
now i have a 3" straight through custom catback. and it is getting way too loud for the area that i live at, and i was thinking about getting one of them straight through cat on ebay with a o2 bung, chop the other flange off and chop off my cat back, enough so that the cat + the pipe will bolt up exactly to my down pipe. then ill clamp the cat and pipe with this 3" exhaust clamp.

has anyone try this? do ya think it'll work?

Thats what I used on my exhaust. You just have to clamp them to like 90 ft/lbs to stop them from leaking. I've had them on my car for about 6 months and no leaks or problems yet. You also dont have to worry about catching them on speed bumps or anything like that either. I recommend them.

Pretty close. I got mine at a local auto parts store for $7 a piece. The construction is identical. They had the same ones 1/4 mile up the road at an airbrake shop.

I'm suprised these aren't used more for these applications.
