I bought a Autometer triple gauge pod from JC Whitney and it is the worst fitting piece of junk. There is an half inch gap on both sides of the A pillar and it looks like s**t. It isn’t even close to being a decent fit. The only thing good about it is the color is almost an exact match.

I was wondering for anyone with a (1990) 1G where and what brand you have and if you are satisfied with it. Now I’m ready to hook everything up, but I am hesitant until I get a better quality pod. Also, I would be willing to go to a double pod if the fit would be better (I would rather the triple though). I need some suggestions

Any help would be appreciated.

I have installed 2 from RRE and they work the best. I have used the LoTek and the Autometer and both of them sucked! If you wand something that looks cool then buy the one from RRE and use a rivet gun to install it to your your a-piller.

can you give me the link to Lo-Tek so I can check them out. JDMWAD since you have a 1g im kind of partial to your endorsement of Lo-Tek. Did you have to do much triming or is it pretty much an exact fit???

Thanks everyone!!!

****I need this ASAP****:(

very nice fit,i did not realize that the lower section is designed to sandwitch between the dash speaker cover. so i had to trim the uipper section just a bit for the auto belts. once i moved the pod down a bit, it was a perfect fit. lo-tek is awesome, order today and have it two days later.

I have a Lo-tek double pod right now, and well... it is all right.. the main problem is that it is a pain in the azz to mount... there are no little clip things on the back like the stock one... so I used a bunch of industrial strength velcro (about 2 feet or so) and had to superglue it (the velcro) to the frame of the car and the same to the back of the pod.... it sticks pretty good now and I can take it down the mess with the gauges if i need to....
