Do I need that little tube running from the BCS plugged into my GReddy Type S BOV? If so....why?

I am referring to the back nipple on the BOV. I had a tube plugged into it, which I believe was the BCS. But, most of the DSM contingent around here, are saying to just leave it off.

Any reasoning behind this?
Opinions are welcome.

Thanks,
Nathan

If you are useing a manual or electric boost controller then you just route the hose from the BCS back into itself. The upper nipple on the Type-S hooks up where the factory nipple went and the lower one can be left open or hooked to you turbo outlet nipple. I have heard good things about hooking up the lower nipple.

... If I am seeing this in my head correctly, the little line on your BOV should be going to your intake manifold, not your BCS... and like Joe said, if you are using a boost controller, you can just disconnect the BCS all together (you are bypassing the signal anyway with the boost controller)... originally their should have been 2 lines going to the BCS... the top one should have gone to your actual intake pipe (after the MAS) and the bottom line should go to your wastegate actuator... (was that confusing enough or what??) :D if you need some pics or something, i can get some.....

btw, you said that you wernt sure if you were talking about the BCS or not... just to make sure you are talking about the right thing, the BCS is located under your fusebox...kinda... to get to it you pretty much have to remove the coolant overflow tank.. then you will see it on the fender wall)... hope this helps!

I am currently running a Profec B....so I dont think I am speaking about the BCS. There are two tubes that run off the BOV. I believe one goes back to the turbo, and the other one is currently off.

I cant remember exactly. I will take a look tonight and get my story straight :)

Thanks again,
Nathan
