I have a 90 GST and had a few Questions:
1) What is the purpose for the O2 eliminator ?
2) Where can I find THE BEST DEAL on a 1g turbo back FWD stainless exhaust? Nothing too loud! Does the 3" down pipe bolt to the stock type turbos smaller flange?
3) is the EVOIII 16G the best all around turbo for street application and does it bolt up with no modification?
4) What is the best fuel pump application with install kit and where is the shepest place to get it?
5) Where is the best place to the GM MAF and translator?
6) Do I need a HKS FCD? what other electronics do you recommend AFC and the pro's and cons of each ect. ect..?

Also this is my first Eclipse does any one have any suggestion for me on this car. I don't want to get crazy with it. If anyone has some slightly used upgraded parts for a good price for the 1g please contact me. [email protected]

Thanks everyone for your help and support

1) It is to eliminate the wastegate part of the o2 housing on the downpipe. Only used with externally gated turbo's and cars with wideband o2 sensors in them usually.
2) eBay is your best bet for exhaust. Megan as hard as it is to beleive makes some REALLY nice exhaust for our cars very cheap. Other than that just buy a downpipe and fabricate an exhaust. It is much easier than you think. a 3" downpipe bolts right up to the stock o2 housing but the nuts are kind of hard to get back on. Usually have to use a crows foot to tighten them.
3) Yes it will bolt up with no modifactions and the best streetable turbo is mostly personal preference. I find any 16g to be a great street turbo because of spoolup time and they aren't massive enough to be gas gusslers. IMO a EVO III is the best for just street use. A 50 trim would have to be best street/strip turbo though.
4)Walboro 255 and any website that deals with DSM's. They all run around $90.00 weather it's Slowboy Racing or eBay. If you get a 255 high pressure you will need to get a FPR kit as well.
5) Once again search around. Usually the classifieds here or you can search eBay is always the cheapest for new parts. As for the GM MAF any junkyard will have a crapton of them. Either 2.5' or 3".
6) HKS FCD is the devil. PITA to tune with. I will never use it again. Get an AFC and some 550's for your EVO III 16g as well as other supporting mods and you will be set for some reliable street power. AFC is always a first choice for people getting into tuning because of it's simplicity. RRE has a writeup on how to tune with it that is very helpful. Might wanna check that out.

You will have problems getting a megan downpipe or catback even for a 1G FWD on ebay. Most exhaust components on ebay are for AWD. I would just go with VRS exhaust, or rnr racing's exhaust systems. Both are high quality and sound great. It normally takes a while for rnr's exhaust to be delivered though.

Good Luck.
