Well I just found out that an aftermarket exhaust that puts out more Decibals than your stock exhaust is illegal in my state. $43.20 a ticket in New Hampshire plus the points on your insurance.

So, I was wondering is there a 2 1/2 or 3 inch full exhaust that is quiet or close to the stocks amount of noise??

I have a 97 Talon TSI FWD
K&N
1st gen bov
Dejon upic pipe
hallman MBC
14.7 1/4 mile

stock exhaust

Thanks

Dont worry about the stupid laws. Lots of states have laws like that, no one pays attention to them. Do you ever go to new england dragway and hear some of those cars? Most of them I see on the way home on the street and no ones bothering them.

Normally, I'd completely agree, but obviously he got a ticket for it, so he doesn't have that luxury.

I have a 3" Apexi Dunk, quietest Ive heard.
could be a bit louder IMO at low RPMS its about 2-3 times louder than stock.

I dont think they really pull you over for having a loud exhaust, If its way too loud i'll understand but Its mostly a big Tip that attracts them.

Whan they pull you over either tell them your stock exaust had a huge hole in it, so how are you supposed to know how loud it was stock, or tell them it was on there when you bought it. Good luck!

I just bought mine from TurboImports.com and it even comes with a certificate saying that it is within the CA State Law for noise. If it meets CA laws, I am sure it passes every other state's law.

My buddy (Nathaniel) was pulled over for having a loud exhaust, then got a ticket for travelling 2mph over the posted speed limit. Imagine fighting that in court, which he tried to and got the ticket anyway. Cops in Seattle suck:mad: In my opinion, keep the car looking stock, and you wont get hassled, lower the car, rim it out, or toss tint @ the glass and you are a cop's wet dream.:dsm:
