I recently put an aeromotive fpr on my car along with a walbro 255. I have 750 cc injectors waiting to go on along with dsmlink and a rs49t. Will I run into problems if I don't replace the fuel feed line with a bigger ss line? I saw the kit on slowboy and was wondering if this would be overkill or a good thing.

It may not be necessary but I would still say go for it. It makes the underhood of your car look good too :thumb: . Get the whole tank to filter line as well for a "rock solid fuel line".
Anything that helps fuel flow is a good thing in my book.

Thats some good info there! I'll think I'll do it. Also I would like a better flowing fuel filter. Anywhere where I can get a whole package? Or atleast point me in the direction to piece some things together.

you can pretty much find everything you need on ebay, or...
find a hydraulic fitting store in your area such as the Parker Store or HoseMan and just pick up the fittings you need and some hose to go with it. they will also show you how to assemble the fittings as well. you can save money by buying brass fittings or steel ones if you don't[t care about looks. i bought steel ones cause they look nice and are cheaper than aluminum ones.
shouldn't cost too much, but you will still want to order the fuel filter on ebay. a nice aeromotive high flow w/ -6 an fittings.
should be able to get it all for under 100 bucks if you are a smart shopper. you also save money buying from a local hydraulic store cause you don't have to pay for shipping.
look it up in the yellow pages.

its a pretty worthwhile mod on any level dsm. Keeping your fuel rail in balance will helop lower egt's dramatically.

That is an ok how too, but there are a few things too address.
1. the connection to the factory outlet line. That needs to have an adaptor on it to convert it to an style fittings. Unfourtunatly there isn't such an adaptor.

2. I personally don't like the idea of braided stainless hose running the length of the car. Not that it would ever happen bit i worry that it could get snagged and rupture.

I am not totally sure what size the hardline from the pump to filter is but if it is already 5/16" and not in bad shape just leave it and install and aftermarket filter and braided line from there. -6 line is only 5/16 anyway

If the line is smaller or all rusty I would consider getting a coil of 5/16 or 3/8 stainless turbing and run that from the pump to the filter, then stainless braided line from ther

all you need is just a metric thread to hydraulic line fitting no need to make it flare/an and then hydraulic line.
if your hydraulic supply store does not have a 1 step fitting for that, they can order it, or make the step in 2 pieces. no big deal.
but yes you could just get a fitting for the end of the hard line to convert it to flare/ an thread (at the stock fuel filter location) then bolt on the aeromotive and take it from there.
the key is removing the very restrictive stock filter, fuel filter banjo bolt(most restrictive) and finally the restrictive stock fuel rail inlet fitting.
get rid of those 3 and you will see a world of flow increase.
slowboy has what you need to do that conversion.
or once again, save some dough and get the fittings on ebay or locally.

if you aren't concerned with looks, you can use "push lok" fittings(w/ fuel hose clamps) and soft line to save money, as opposed to the stainless hose and more expensive reusable field fittings.
its totally to your discretion. no worry for abrasion under the hood. reinforced rubber works quite well.

think about it. WOT 3rd gear pull.
cylinder 4 too rich, 3 moderately rich, 2 about right rich, 1 stoich or lean.
you a/f might say that you are still a tad on the rich side cause your o2 reads the average of all 4 cylinders.
after this mod with the addition of a afpr and high flow pump, all 4 would be about the same giving you much more accurate o2 reading , much mower egt's.
this means you can run leaner trims without increasing egt's

my buddy did this mod and without changing any of his safc2 settings, his peak egt's went down 200 degrees and stayed down. even after repeated pulls they never got as high as they did before.
definitely a worthy mod IMO
but it really depends on how for you want to take things

i like the setup they ran after this mod
Stock DSM fuel pump OMG
SteveTek High Flow Delivery System
660 ND injectors
APEXi SAFC

oh yeah, and don't forget, you can get the fuel rail adaptors on ebay for cheap or through slow boy racing. that way you don't have to tap the fuel rail and its a bolt on affair

Are you talking about the fuel pump outlet? If so a standard -6an straight hose end with some Teflon tape will seal it up just fine. I did mine that way and it has never leaked.
