well...i pretty much suck at electronics, but i can tell a blown fuse when i see one..but anyways i changed my battery today and accidently touched the power and neg togeather or something when i was tightening down the clamps....any way sparks flew (i did this twice d'oh) and now with the new battery in and firmly tightened down... my car still has no power..the door light/dome light doesn't come on when i open the door and i get nothing when i turn the key...i know the battery is fine, because it shows full charge when i connect it to a car charger...so what fuse did i blow? and is their a way to take off the black cover on the larger fuses to see if those are good or not? and is the dealer the only place to get those larges at?

You want to check the fuses that are right on the positive terminal... If they are blown, there will be a break in the copper bar that can be seen through the clear plastic lense on the top of each fuse...

Some of those fuses just simply pull out but others are actually bolted into the fuse holder housing and require that they be unbolted from the sides first, prior to removal.

Secondly, you might also want to check the ALT fuse (1G anyway) black, 80 amp in the main fuse block, next to the air cleaner... Not too sure on the 2Gs, but you should have a similar setup.

Once you found the culprit, you should be able to get any of the push in/pull out fuses at any auto parts store... The bolt in ones are usually much harder to find. FOr those, I recommend an auto wrecker (MUCH cheaper than going to satan).

check the ignition fuse...when I blew that on my car and i tried to turn it on, I got nothing.

Don't remember which fuse it was. Check on the fuse box cover.
