I am buying the A1000-6 #13109 Regulator & Gauge. Its the 2 -6an & gauge port one. I'm buying one becasue I want reliable fuel pressure from the Walbro 255hp and rewire kit i just bought from ebay.

Im looking for a little spoon fed info here. I've seen the install instructions on the tech articals. But I wanted to know what would be needed to replace my entire fuel dilivery system, From pump to return lines. I was looking into ordering an Aereomotive inline fuel filter but was confused why they are all -10 -12 & 3/8 fittings (according to their website). Would i just use a -10 fitting from the filter mated to -6an fitting to the Regulator?

Secondly. I am seriously considering just replacing my fuel lines while doing this, but dont know much about the stock lines that are on my 96 GSX (delivery & return). I have heard it will benifit me to replace the return line. Is it smaller then the dilivery lines? Do the Stock fuel lines provide the ability to handle the extra fuel pressure? Do I need to replace any delivery or return lines? If so, what type of lines would you recomend, what size, fitting types & how manny feet? Im hungry, spoon please! :D

Thanks guys/gals: Scott

You shouldn't need upgraded fuel lines with a 255HP. It seems to me that the only reason that you would need to upgrade the fuel lines is if you are planning on running accessive amount of fuel to the car. In other words, multiple fuels pump or one huge one (400+LPH)

As far as the fuel lines running in and out of the regulator, you just need to make sure that whatever fuel line you are going to run is going to match up to the fitting on the regulator. I don't know what else to tell you on that one. :D

I am running the Aeromotive FPR kit that Import Evolution sells and I love it. It made a huge difference up top and it makes tuning the car so much easier. You should look into getting something like that. I guess it all kind of depends on how much power you want to make and your plans for the car.

I am going to a 1 gal fuel cell where my batt and vapor can was... The OE line and a in tank denso are going to feed the cell and return from the cell to the rear..

So I am running only a few feet of -10an....

you have alot to do before you will need more than the 255..

1. Regulator goes after the fuel rail therefore you will need a return line kit that goes from driver side fuel rail to the regulator then to the stock return hard line.

2. Fuel filter goes before the fuel rail (no sense for filtering after the injectors) therefore you'll need an fuel feed line kit. However, you will not need this setup for afpr install.

Most of our vendor sponsors that sells afpr will most like carry both the feed and return line kits as well.

Well, I have looked at the Import Evolutions Aeromotive kit. But feel more comfortable going with screw fittings then clamp fittings. It's only personal prefrence. I have spent a little time and went around to the majority of vendors from this site and found what I was looking for on SBR's website.

I know it would be significantly cheaper to buy the AN fittings and hoses from a local outfit in my town. http://www.spokanehose.com/ I bought my Autometers electric oil pressure sending units 3foot steal braided feed line with fittings for 13.50 from their.

Unless somone has somthing truly spectacular to say about SBR's SS fuel kits. I don't know if I can stumic spending $200 on a filter to rail and return kit. Thanks for the replys

I made my own lines from a local shop and just got the aeromotive AFPR. Nothing to it just do it. Cheapest easiest way to get the rail done is to just tap the rail end to 3/8 NPT and screw the fittin in.

Cheapest way yeah, easyest way would be to buy the rail to 6-AN addapter for $20 wich i might just do for ease of installation.

$20 rail adaptor or $3 for the fitting and 5 mins time to tap the rail. I see the logic :D

If I had a tap set.....

Good point, you could buy just that one tap and come out a little cheaper, but a good tap and dye set is expensive.

I agree with you though, that fuel rail adapter comes with the IE kit and it made everything go together really easy. It only took me about 45 minutes to put it on and half of that time was spent trying to find my tools in my messy garage.

I have the tap.. Well I also have a set of normal fastener taps... Anyway rigging other ppls rails has more than payed for the one tap...
