I have a 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX 195 horsepower, about 185lb torque. I just got a new big 16g turbo on it and resealed the valve chamber. I also got a new cat-bac exhause and converter with a downpipe. I am just wondering what the 1\4 mile time will be? or the 0-60 time? Stock 1\4 mile is 15 sec. What is modded time?

With the setup exactly as you described it, your car will prolly be a bit slower than a stock one. Hope this helps.

wow don't be so hard on the guy, what everyone i trying to say, is their are a lot of variables to consider when trying to determine that answer. my advice would be tune it as best as you can. get a stronger clutch (gauges, gauges, gauges) once tuned take it to the track, and see what it runs. then base that against documented stock 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times. good luck with your set up. if you need any help feel free to ask anyone here by post or PM. also there is a lot of info in the archives on this topic. you can access it buy using the search feature:D

The point I am making is if you do mods to your car "backwards" then your performance will likely move backwards too. You should have kept the 14B, gotten a Walbro fuel pump, full exhaust DP, test pipe, cat back, done all the free mods, gave the car a good tune up (plugs, wires, thermostat, coolant flush, oil change, etc) and gotten a boost controller, boost gauge, and some form of air/fuel gauge. With that setup on a 1G FWD, you can EASILY hit low 13's at around 101-103, and with good driving and a good clutch, upwards of 12.7-12.9's at 104-106mph. If you took your car to the track the way it sits, you'd prolly run a mid-high 14 at around 94; a time you could hit with JUST free mods. My Laser with JUST free mods ran 14.3 at 99. My friend's GSX with just free mods and a clutch ran 13.9 at 96. My point in all this? People are so quick to just slap things on the car instead of taking all the neccessary and MUCH EASIER steps to make their car faster. Don't take a 100K++ mile DSM with a mis-fire and slap a 20G on it with NO other mods. It will go slower, and/or blow up. Make sure the car is in proper running order first, and then do things in order and you will see MUCH better results. Good luck.

Regards,

I would agree but. With the wealth of dsm information available, you can build a 11sec car from scratch. the same formula will apply regardless of how you start or which route you take. I choose to do it all at once tune it and go. :)

Well I made the mistake of first modding w/o thinking. I got a 2.5 turbo back thinking "I just want to go a little faster". Look at my mods now and now I have to upgrade to a 3inch exhaust(done) then retune becasue it lowered spool rpm's buy 300-400. Now I'm getting a 3inch O2 eliminator DP and high-flow cat and will have to retune again since spool will be decreased. My advise is just plan before you mod.

One of the biggest things about AWD DSM's that nobody touched was the state of the transmission. If you can shift the thing good you should expect decent times. I went from a 13.1 down to a 13.6 simply cause I can't shift to 2nd now.
