Wanted to know if anyone has had experience with the pace setter 3" hi-flow Cat converter?
Sport Compact Car suggested that it was a free flowing unit, however I know that probably is an oxymoron free flowing cat??? Any rate I am having an exhaust put on my car I have everything but a cat:
RRE 2.5-3" downpipe long (i know should have gone with the short one with the cat already in it)
3" Dynomax magnum glass pack 18" long (resonator)
Magnaflow 3" in/ 2.5" dual outs 18" long
I will be running the 14B till about Christmas time when I would like to replace it with an Evo 16G. Ultimate goals is low 13's high 12's on a daily driven street car that will see some autocross and maybe even some track day use someday.. but basically a well rounded car. Fast spool being weighted slightly higher than max top end.. so no 50 trims in my future.
Where I live now we have no inspection (yet) for emissions or even visual inspections (unless you are unlucky enough to get a roadside visual by a state trooper). However I may be moving to a county that has "e-check" so I may go with the cat now so I wont have to worry about it later on.. or if my county does start inspections..
I have also heard of random technologies cat converter but no prices listed looks to be a good product but would take a few days to get here as it would have to be ordered.. where I can pick up the pace setter from summit racing any time ( i drive by it on the way to work)
Any suggestions on high flow converters would be nice? California DSMers im sure have experience with this..
