hey i met a guy with a turbo awd talon 1st gen not sure witch year but he told me he had a lil trick up his sleave to raise my boost level..he unhooked both vacum lines on the soelnoid on top of the air intake canister and my boost went up..whats this doing by this and is it safe..???..help i dont want to destroy my engine..thanx for the input..chris

When I did this to my 1G it raised the boost to 15psi. I think it depends on the car. A friend of mine did the same thing and he was running 12psi. I would recommend getting a boost gauge before doing it.:D Hope that helps out some.

thanx man i was just wondering who else has done this..heres what my conclusion is..ok im pretty sure its opening the wastegate early to allow my turbo to spool more air in..is this wrong or does anyone else know what its doing by unhooking these 2 lines..thanx again for your replys
chris

From my understanding, the BCS regulates the amnt of air that is going to the turbo along w/ the MAS. You could get a couple more psi out of it, but it might screw w/ the ECU by not reading the pressure correctly.
Im not too sure about 1G though....
