Where do I install the fuel pressure sending unit?

I have a stock fuel pressure regulator and an Autometer fuel pressure gauge. It's the remote gauge that mounts inside the car so there is a sending unit. The only place I can see to mount the sending unit it would possibly be by replacing the nut on the top of the fuel filter with the sending unit.

Is this correct, will it work properly, and if not, where else can it go?

See if it will fit in the hole used by the stock fuel pressure sending unit. It is located on the oil filter housing, its the bigger sensor of the 2.

He's talking about the fuel pressure not oil pressure. To tap into the fuel line for pressure youll either need to get an afpr with a port for a gauge or an inline gauge adapter(basically this has 2 hose barbs with a 1/8npt thread for the sending unit)

Well if your planning on getting an aftermarket fpr than some regulators like the one with our IE-FPR http://www.importevolution.com/product_info.php?products_id=1620 kit will have extra ports where you can mount the sender into.

Otherwise you need a fitting that will give you an extra 1/8th npt port for the sender. You can buy 1/8th adapters

Only problem is the above one and most of them I know of only adapt to AN fittings which you probably aren't running.

The B&M fuel pressure gauge comes with an adapter that will replace the bolt on top of your fuel filter and allow you to connent the sender onto it.

Its the left fitting in the picture. I could pull the fitting out of one of my b&m gauges in stock and sell it separate to you for $12 if your interested.
