Hi guys, me and my brother in law just got his 91 talon awd started the other day and we found out that the car is burning oil through piston number 1. We did a compression test and the numbers were #1 90 #2 155 #3 155 #4 155. So the question is this I have another engine sitting at home with about 100k miles on it, I never started the engine so I don't know the condition of it but if I was to do a leak down test would that be sufficient to know if the engine is worth putting on? Thanks.

You want the engine to be at operating temperature when you do the leak down test. You would probably get some pretty mis leading results with it cold like that.
