Fuel Injectors Balancing

Just had my fuel injectors cleaned and balanced at a local shop. My idle has never been more steady and solid, but my turbo doesn't seem to spool up as fast. Any thoughts?

If they were dirty it may have been flowing less fuel. leaner is hotter, hotter spools faster. if you have an AFC you should lean out you spool RPM'S a little.

I have no AFC. Is there any other way to run leaner (... safely)?

Nope. An AFC(or some other fuel computer or standalone) is the only way to lean out.
