18-19 is about all the stock turbo will happily do. After that it gets hot.
The worse condition your engine is in the more boost you can run. Don't believe me? When your blowing all the pressure into the crank case anyway, you are less likely to get knock. My friend used to run 21psi on pump gas with a 16G, stock injectors, 90psi compression across the board![]()

Race Gas (116) = whatever the turbo can give
With stock injectors the AFC is virtually useless. Messing with it much (adding fuel) will cause any number of badness, such as fuel cut or bad timing. Your key will be watching knock. 19psi on a B16G probably won't damage anything no matter what but it may kill your timing. Watch the knock and boost away.
