I have the SBR 2g Street FMIC...which is very nice BTW. My only problem is how to recirculate the HKS SSQV BOV to the Forced Performance 4in turbo intake? I've enclosed a few pictures. I hope that they help. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing that damn TPS CEL.
Thanks in advance for any and all help you might be able to supply me with :D

Like what was said above!! Why do you have a breather filter on the end of the fuel filter mod? It kinda of defeats the purpose doesnt it? I did the fuel filter mod and recirculated it back into the intake like factory. Just wondering, maybe Im a newb and thats what your supposed to do. :thumb: :talon:

looks like you can rotate your BOV to face the recirculation opening on the intake pipe or is there something preventing it from turning. if not, rotate the bov and install the recirculation hardware with shorter tubing.

FP intake doesn't have any vac ports like the stock one does. However, that breather does seem a tad useless...

I've got the FP intake and my fuel filter just has a vac line coming off of it and hanging past the tranny in case any oil manages to make it past the filter.

Learn something new everyday! Thanks for clearing that up. :thumb: :talon:

I dont have the fp intake, I have stock check out pic its pretty easy with what everyone said above. Find some small hose and do it up. Its def going to be a home depot project but itll work.

i have the SBR FMIC and with the short route piping it has drastically moved my BOV from the stock location. I purchased the HKS SSQV recirculation kit...basically all i got from that were the 2 metal fittings...the hose is useless. I am somewhat mechanically enclined but as far as fabricating a recirculation hose I'm not. I've gone to lowe's and bought some PVC angles and some clear plastic tubing...gonna try and figure something out but i make no promises. If anyone has any tips my question is still. How the hell to recirculate the HKS SSQV on a SBR FMIC with short routed piping on a FP 4in. Intake?

Go to Pep Boys or Discount Auto Parts or wherever and go back to the wall where they have all the radiator hose pieces. Just stand there and look over the various ones until you find one the approximate shape and size you need. That's what I did. It's a 1G BOV in the picture, but I have an SSQV on there now and am using the same piece of hose. It was almost a perfect fit-- the hose isn't bent or anything. All I had to do was cut a little bit off of one end.

Exactly what I did. :thumb:

Is there any way u can fabricate that piece that goes inside the SSQV, to recirculate it. Or do you have to buy the recirculation kit.

Just buy the piece. It costs like $16.

eBay!

And the lower radiator hose to the '85 Geo Metro is 1" ID and has a 90 degree bend in it. In case the auto parts dudes won't let you past the counter.

Wow an old thread. I corrected this a long time ago. The thing was my hks BOV had an O.D of 1 inch and the intake pipe has an O.D of 1.5 inch. So I had to find a hose that was 1/2 an inch so I could fill the gap for my 1.5 inch Sink drain from ACE hardware. HAHA it works though.

Old post, but I'll add some input. FP intake has no vacuum ports but you can easily add your own, its as simple as drilling, tapping & installing the required bard size. The valve cover shouldn't be vented to atmosphere, like shown in the pic, install a barb & connect it back up into the intake (sure use a catch can or fuel filter to keep oil/crap out of your intake).

To get the SSQV on my short route FMIC to work with my FP intake. I bought a couple stock BOV return lines & hacked them to achieve the bends I required on both ends. To connect the bend ups I went to my local hardware stock & got a j pipe for a sink drain (is chrome for the "bling" factor), cut it to the required size & connect it all with hose clamps. For the difference in OD between the SSQV recirculate & the FP/stock size, I just picked up some 1" ID clear plastic hose from the plumbing department & cut a lenth about 1" long to put over the recircualte end as an adapter.
