Ok, so I got new intercooler pipe connectors and clamps cause my old ones kept blowing and decided to put them on yesterday. I have been having electrical problems lately so I also decided to unplug the negative battery terminal so that the computer could reset. So anyway. all I had to take off was my intake cone and fuse box, and then just swap the connectors. I also unplugged my MAS. After I was finished, I put everything back, but when I went to drive it, the car would not go above 2k and it was stuttering like a madman. I thought I blew one of the connectors off again so I checked and everything was still on there fine, no boost leaks or anything suspicious. I also checked that I had the MAS and battery hooked up well, which I did. I was wondering if anyone knows what could have happened, cause I didnt mess with that much stuff and my car is freaking out. Thanks for your help.

ps... I also discovered that the electrical problems are due to halfway melted positive terminal wires... But my volts were fine when I was driving because they show on my turbo timer, so I dont think the new problem is battery related.

Yeah, it really does sound like a leak somewhere. It's most likely not the MAS because the car hardly runs at all when you forget to reconnect it (first hand experience OMG ). I don't know what else it could be either-- I know you don't want to hear this, but it wouldn't hurt just to check all the pipes and connections one more time. Do you have an intake leak tester?

Check and make sure the BOV dump tube didn't become disconnected when you were working on your car. The problem is going to be obvious when you see it ;)

Thanks for the help, guys. I took a closer look and my intake came loose from where it connects to the turbo... I guess I jiggled it too much when I was trying to get the cone off the get to the IC piping. Anyway, the car is runnign great now... no boost leaks and I got a new battery, new terminals, and a new harness to replace the half melted one. I forgot what it was like to have a car that runs right. :p
