Ok, there is a guy going to build me a FMIC for my 1G. But I need a good size...... what can you tell me about the best FMIC sizes for me.

thx

It depends on what turbo you plan to run also. If you have a small turbo, a big IC may not be ideal since it takes much longer for the smaller turbo to fill up the IC thus creating more lag. However, if you are planning to go with a 20G or bigger size turbo, then you might as well do it right the first time and somewhere around 24-28"x10x3. The other things you want to think about is what core to pick, side-side flow, top-bottom flow that affect your endtanks and also how you run your IC pipes. A 20G setup can route differently compared to a 16G.

I like the RRE Griffin/Spearco intercooler. Good price and a decent size. It can handle any moderatley sized turbo.

I will probably just start with the stock Turbo, but later I will maybe go to a big 16

Then you don't need a FMIC. The stock IC is good enough for high 11s. FMICs aren't needed till you start flowing lots of air & the stock unit isn't cutting it anymore. You make power on DSMs by freeing up restrictions... right now the stock IC isn't your restriction. You'd be better server by spending your $$$ on exhaust, turbo, & fuel upgrades.

Well. I have "2.5 downpipe, no cathalic converter, "2,5 open catback sooo, the exhaust isn't a problem, i'm omw to get ported 2G manifold, o2 housing and turbo outlet. I have open aircan and hacked mas, MBC, rewired fuel pump, and something more : )
