i read that a non tubo 91-94 4g63 throttle body is 62mm and can work work with any 91-99 turbo motor with a certain kind of coupler. Is this true? how easy is it if it is? seems like a cheap bore but there must be more to it. the motor i got was from a 1990 :mad:
 
Your better off just getting a91-94 turbo TB.it will be a lot easier.I know you can make the nt work,and I know you'll have to have some kind of coupler to make you UICP fit since you wont have the TB elbow since it is a non turbo,but i don't know the deal on the vaccum lines,maybe someone else can answer that one for you.
 
The NT Tb's are bigger than the 1g turbo ones, you will just need to wire some things differently and you really dont need the vacuum lines, except for your boost gauge, most people just cap then off to avoid any problems in the future. And I am not sure on this but I think that you can just use the 2g elbow on it and then fab up some 2.5 inch piping and you will have some extra HP's
 
or just buy a silicone elbow and that will work, just make sure its got some extra pipe on one end.
 
Alot of bad information in here. I personally ran a 91-94 2.0 NT throttle body on my car for a while. There are only a couple differences about them (Turbo and Nt Throttle body) The lip the Nt throttle body is bigger, but it necks down to the same size as the turbo style. They both use the same size flapper plate. That and it has one less vaccum port which if you cap them anyways its no big deal. The sensors are exactly the same and require no modification whatsoever. Also the seals dont have a metal retainer ring inside on the NT throttle bodies like the turbo style, which makes it harder to hold in boost.
