Pti Mbc

has anyone ever used one of there PTI manual boost controllers.... they are cheaper then most but i was wondering if it would work or if it spikes and what not here a link to one on ebay its supposidly a ball and spring type controller also http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7979085554

If it truly is ball and spring then it most likely will not have spiking problems. I think I heard of someone using it but I don't remember who and their reaction, sorry...For even less you could build yourself a "Home Depot Racing" MBC from various parts... Or, why not just get a reliable Joe P mbc..They are only $45 at their website and <$40 on Ebay

I just want to say, i bought one of those same ebay mbc's i have since gone back to the bcs.
what i didn't like about the mbc was the threads were sloppy on the adjusting bolt. the spring was too stiff and it wore out after a few adjustments. i would never buy a homemade ebay mbc again.

My Joe P. "original" is running just fine I've NEVER had a problem with it. I got it off of ebay for 15$ when they was clearing out the stock for the new Joe P. XZ mbcs. there is NOTHING wrong with a homemade boost controlller, hundreds of thousands of people are using them and LOVING them, the occasionaly "it wore out" shouldnt discourage ya. If you go and build on and it doesnt work for you then sell it on ebay or something and you'll make more moeny than you put into it
