exaust size difference

i put a 2.5 downpipe and o2 housing on but cant buy the 2.5 catback right now and the stock is WAY smaller than the 2.5 pipe does anyone know how to make those 2 work together as it is right now the exaust is blowing out past the downpipe making the car really loud (not good when there's a cop every .5 blocks) any suggestions?

Well, you have a hole that lets say is this big: O flowing into a hole that is this big: o Your best bet would be to borrow some money and buy a 2.5" catback and pay them back or find a piece of 2.5" pipe that necks down to 2" and have it welded onto the stock piece WTF

You could always put your stock o2 housing and dp back on since putting a larger dp and o2 housing mated to a stock catback really wont do you much of anything...

I would go to a store that sells sheet metal (I know Lowes does) and buy a piece that is about 1/16" thick or thicker. Use a cutoff wheel or a metal blade in a jig saw to cut the outside to a shape that is slightely larger than the outside of the 2.5" exhaust flange and inside that is about the size of the inside of the stock exhaust. (This doesn't have to be perfect because it is very temporary right?) Match mark and drill holes for the bolts to go through. Bolt this thing between the dp and stock catback. Then go work some overtime so you can buy a catback.
