I decided to go with a Greddy SP2 for my car because my goal is 300-350hp at the crank. I did not want a 3" exhaust because of loudness, and stainless steel was important to me, as of course mandrel bending.
At idle, the SP2 sounds great. It is VERY deep, and VERY low. In db, it is probably 1.5x the loudness of the stock exhaust. Nice and subtle. No resonance inside the cabin, and you can barely hear it.
Cruising at ~70mph, you can hear the exhaust but resonance inside the cabin is still unheard. The deep tone is louder but it is not overbearing in any way whatsoever.
This exhaust does not sound like a fart can! All tones are SMOOTH and DEEP and SEXY. Sexy???? w/e
As far as hp gains, it would be tough to say because the exhaust got dropped in at the same time the shortblock was replaced. I will be going to the dyno as soon as I finish breaking in my SPEC stage3.
