c.b.s,
I have a 1992 eagle talon tsi. My mods are, dejon tools hard intake pipe, k&N filter, mbc set at 15 psi, and small 16g. I have the mbc set at 15psi. I dont appear to be hitting fuel cut, is this a common thing?? also is it safe to keep running the car like this??
The car pulls hard through gears, no appearent hesitation or fuel cut, i have a fuel pump re-wire kit but i dont have it installet yet, because I do not appear to be hitting fuel cut. I checked my plugs and they wernt white, well diddnt seem very white to me?
Any input would be greatly appreciated, Im just wondering if the car runs well can i keep running her at 15psi safely.
thanks again...Mike

Correct me if im wrong guys(and i might be), but i noticed the thread strarter in in Canada, where its still very cold even in spring. Im assuming you are getting nice cold air into your engine, even without a FMIC. However, if temps should increase drastically (lets say 80-90 drgrees farenheit), then you might have fuel cut. This is because your SMIC will not be able to cool the air coming from that turbo in the summer heat, therefore more fuel will be needed to cool the air for a combustion that would yeild a safe AFR...........which would eventually turn lean because of your car's lack of delivering extra fuel = FUEL CUT.

On the other hand you might still be fine at 15psi in the summer, who knows? Wait and see.

Fuel cut is when the ECU "cuts" the fuel off because the corrected airflow exceeded the programmed limit. It has nothing directly to do with how much fuel you your delivering.
I think you'll find people hit F.C. more often then the air temps are cool because cooler air is denser air.

you are way off buddy.. Usually people hit fuel cut when the weather is cold because the turbo can flow more air when its cold appose to warmer conditions. You really shouldnt post information unless it's correct. I'm not trying to be rude, but bad information can get spread this way. :thumb:

I wasnt trying to post wrong info....who does that on purpose?....did you notice where I wrote "correct me if im wrong"......meaning i thought my answer was right. Thanks for clearing that up steve.

Technically your answer isn't correct either. You flow the same amount (volume) of air but since it colder and denser you get more mass.
