I have a Apexi turbo timer, everything is hooked up and it works great. In the instruction manual it has A/F value, O2 sensor voltage settings. What is this? Do I have to do anything with these settings to "set the timer up"? Everything works it counts down, the A/F and O2 voltage seems to be working. I know this isn't accurate but i'm just wondering if it's working correctly. Thanks for any info. BTW all ready did all the searches and counld'nt find anything.

As long as you tapped it into the o2 wire on the ECU then it should work fine.
Yes, I know it works fine, but what are the settings for? I'm curious.

The settings are there to to serve as a kind of warning. For example, if you set the battery voltage to 12.5 (like i do), it will flash whenever the battery voltage goes down that low. Remember anything less that 12 is a problem. The o2 voltage and the a/f values arent accurate, as you already stated. Therefore you need not worry too much about them. No one qoutes thier a/f or o2 voltage values off a turbotimer. But the battery voltage is correct! It corresponds perfectly with the AFC reading.

why people than buying widebands if you can measure a/f with turbo timer or dsmlink

WTF Can we focus people. I started this thread looking for information on the A/F and O2 voltage settings on the Apexi turbo timer not a discussion on wideband gauges. So can anyone tell me, cause I don't think anyone has. Thanks. ;)

The settings are for calibrating your narrow-band O2 sensor from 0-1v and the corresponding A/F ratios. If you know, for instance, that 960mv is 10:1 A/F you can set the first of the eight values to 960mv. If you know that 450mv is 14.6:1 A/F you would set point four to 450mv. You can set each of the eight points if you know through gas anylization or factory specs what the corresponding A/F ratios are for each of the voltages. It appears that it is set-up to interpolate the values evenly across the board from the factory. I would leave it alone unless you have any other data. Besides, your narrow-band is good for telling you if you're real rich or real lean and that's about it. That's why this started to turn into a W/B O2 discussion. I have also heard claims that tapping the sensor feed to the ECU will throw it off and it is ill-advised. <SHRUG>
