I am going to replace my power steering pump with a spare that I have from an engine swap. Anyway, the "pressure switch" on the front of the pump, the part that sticks out that the wire attaches to, does that move around? It moves around on the pump in there now, which doesn't seem right, but on the spare pump, it's broken off, so I was just going to swap the fittings. Or possibly since that piece is moving around, that's where it is leaking from, since it's dripping off the underside of the pump. I just can't see underneath.
Sorry if this is confusing.

Yup. Tighten it gently. If stripped, replace.
Oh, and those drops of hydraulic fluid have destroyed your alternator.

I just replaced the alternator on Sunday. Then the pump started leaking. All it's doing really is running on the outside , then dripping off.
But, where can I get a new pressure switch? It's tight, but somehow the part that the wire clips to is busted loose.

I puchased the whole switch assembly for really cheap at the local dealership...When i first got my car, the switch assembly was missing and was replaced some odd looking set of bolts and washers. The car would idle kinda low and when you try making low speed turns or U-turns the idle wouldn't kick up to make the power steering work at all. Now it seems to be working correctly.

FYI-> I had to use my 1/2" breaker bar to get the old piece off, was on there really tight to keep it from leaking. Its easier to work on while the pump is still in the car. I had to replace the pump and tried removing the bolts/washers while off the car, bad idea...

I called the chrysler dealership today, they said they had discontinued the pump, and had no parts for it. They refered me to a parts dealer who had no parts for the pump, but wanted $230 for the pump itself. I can't even find a seal kit locally  . I sure as hell am not paying 230 for a PS pump.... I can get it for 120 brand new at Beroddin. No local parts places have parts, all they will sell is the whole pump.

Does anyone know the part number for the switch? I contacted a dealership about a new switch on the power steering pump and they said they only sold the pump, and wanted $345 for it. Does that sound right? By the sounds of it, you can buy the switch separately right?? I also broke the top connector off of the switch and have been looking to replace it ever since...

Looking through CAPS I only see the pump assembly, the switch is not sold separately. A new pump is $232.09 from JNZ tuning but you would be better off buying the switch only from a junkyard or partout.
