Exhaust manifold

what does a ported manifold vs. a regular manifold do for a dsm for the price difference. im almost done with my car and i just recieved my e316g and now i need a manifold. i found a guy by me selling a ported manifold for 100 and i have one selling a stock manifold for 50. any info would be great.

porting > stock

it increases the flow of the exhaust gases.
More flow = better performance.

though a stock 1g manifold has seen 11's

unless you can get a place to port the unported manifold for less than $50 I'd go with the ported one. $100 isn't bad at all fo a ported 2g

depends on where it's ported... options to port: you can port the outlet at the collector - either just removing the "step" or porting it to a full 7cm, or you can do that and the runners, I dont know what can be gained by porting the runners when your head isnt ported maybe someone else does. If you have an air compressor a cheap a$$ die grinder can be had for 10-15$ and a cutting bit for it is 15$ and you can do it yourself/port anything you want. Or if you have a friend/etc. I do porting for my buddies for free, or they can come over and do it themselves.
