moving wrist pin location. (crazy question)

This is probably going to cause some flames...hopefully not. I have searched, i know people move the wrist pin location for stroker motors, but i don't know how much or in what direction i need to move these. HERE'S WHY!

cliff notes: putting the 4g63 85mm pistons into an accord motor, same cylinder bore, same wrist pin bore as 2g pistons.

2 things i need to know

is it a pressed or floating wrist pin?

how much do the stroker guys have a machine shop move the wrist pins, max?



FYI: dsmT manifold, turbo, and injectors work on that motor.....sorry for jackin yall's parts!

You can't move the wrist pin location. You can buy stroker pistons with a relocated pin location, or you can buy custom pistons. Also as far as I know the f23 is an 86 mm bore not 85mm like the 4g63, so the pistons are to small for the f23's 86mm bore. The pin height is roughly 10mm difference between the two pistons, thats a little over 3/8".

updates, we've decided to use the h22 crank and rods with the 4g63t pistons in the f22. h22 crank and rods are stronger and will destroke the motor to a 2.0L, and will give us an extra 2mm of clearance b/w the piston and head. BTW, the reason we are doing this in an f22 is that it's the only honda motor that has iron sleeves from the factory, and you can pick them up for very cheap.

Do the math. Even with the h22 crank and rods the piston is going to be about 3.5mm above the surface of the block. Good luck
