Head Replacement

If someone could help me out I would really appreciate it. I just recently replaced my head on my 92 tsi. I set the timing following threads and notes that I have found on here, dowel pins at 12 o'clock, cam notches at 3 and 9 while bottom being at TDC. I go to start the car and it won't start. I checked my sparkplugs and saw that I was getting no spark. I took off my coil on plug and put the stock coil back on and stock sparkplug wires, now i'm getting spark but it still won't start. How do I test the power transistor to eliminate that as being the problem? As far as the CAS goes, how do I test that if I can't get the car to turn over? If these questions are dumb I apologize but I have never done this before...Like I said any feedback would be appreciated......

Did you check to see if the crankshaft will turn over at all? Does it do anything when you try to start it?

The crank turns over so the starter is good but it wont start. I noticed that now the cams are not even lined up anymore, I know that it's possible to skip a tooth or two but now the intake cam is at 3 o'clock and the exhaust cam is at 9'oclock...That shouldn't happen right?

Everything (camshafts, crank, front and rear balance shafts) only line up every 6 revolutions of the crankshaft. Search these forums for how to test the CAS and power transistor.
