1g conversion To 2g head swop

I was looking into swoping the 2g out to a 1g what are all the parts i need to do it ??? and what kind of hp numbers could i expect with porting the head and all ???

I say get the 1g tb and port match your head to the manifold.

to do a complete swap I hear is a complete pain in the ass.

That dumb@$$ that posted in the trader doesn't know WTF he's talking about.

No where NEAR 60hp, most of the gains are in the manifold.

Do a port matching on your 2g head, throw on a 1g manifold, and a 1g TB, and call it a day. If you want to see some gains, while you're in there, throw in ARP studs and a new HG, then throw some nice HKS cams in.

No reason to do a 1g head swap IMO. 2g heads are much better than most people think.

ok cool thats what i was thinking i also heard the 2gs have more meat on the wall and are more forgiveing when porting them makeing them stronger.

Don't port it out, other than port matching it. Unless you want to send it to someone respectable.

Heads don't need to be strong what so ever, and if you are porting them out enough to get the wall thickness that thin to even consider it, someone should hit you with a BFH.
