I ordered a 20G and talked to Hahn (brad) and asked him if I needed to run water lines with this turbo. He said i don't need to and it won't affect anything (maybe a tad more cooling) he said JUST oil lines will do cooling efficeintly. Does anyone have any other opinions about this ?

Thanks !

If you heard it straight from the horse's mouth, then I would trust them to know their products and what works. My bets are that you couldn't fit water lines on it even if you wanted to, the center section probably doesn't even have the ports for them.

from what i have experienced
if Brad says something he knows what he is talking about
before he worked the sales phones he worked in the tech dept

What about your oil feed and drain? On my Garrett the oil feed comes from the oil filter housing, fresh from being filtered and higher pressure than the head supply.Mark

Most turbo's do not require the water flow through as long as your turbo timer works and gives the turbo time to cool the bearings with oil! on run down. High pressure oil straight from the oil filter housing is not always recommended! a restrictor in the feed line from the oil pump will not hurt! to simulate oil pressure from the head port but supposedly cleaner oil

Go with your vendor's recommendation on oil supply. Mine says oil filter housing with a -4an line, no restrictor. Mark

-10+ oil drain go for it! I'll stick with mitsu system with ball or standard bearing! they have done more research than after market vendors!!

I have a 1 year warranty to protect so I must use what my vendor specifies. Also I am not familiar with the amount of research Mitsu did with oil cooled only CHRA's. Hence the extra pressure and oil volume. I would use water cooling if I had it available as it is a better system. Mark

Sweet97 go with what you have too! i am only stating what i use with BB/ or normal turbo bearings!
