I purchased walbro 255, a sbr mani., an evo16g, and an evo 02 housing and don't plan on running any more than 16psi (but latter on I would like to go a little higher). my delima is that everyone is saying that it is difficult to install the 255 on a 90gst, so should I,,, (A.)get a walbro190 or (B.)just forget about installing a feul pump and sell my 255?
thanks for the advise, jarad
p.s.I also want to mention that I don't have money for a feul pres. regulator

Keep the Whalbro pump. With the Evo III you're going to need more fuel even running 16 psi. You see, 16psi on a 14b is a different cfm than 16psi on an Evo III. The Evo turbo will flow more cfm at the same pressure as the 14b turbo. Either way, more boost is in your future and you're going to need more fuel to compensate. The other things you should have bought are a fuel pressure regulator, bigger injectors (at least 550s), a datalogger, and boost gauge if you haven't bought them yet.

i have purchased a gauge and am looking into getting a logger. As for the regulator and the injectors, I don't have much money because the guy I bought this car from didn't keep the body in the best shape. So, all my tax money is going into making the car look better.
I have already had to buy a new bumper and a new spoiler because for some reason he thought it would be a good idea to rip the spoiler off and then hit a pole going 15mph( that was fun to fix).

Good luck with that. Hopefully you'll get on with the performance part of it sooner or later.

NORMALY I would agree with you. But If i showed you a pic, you would understand. First of all my eclipse looks like a little red devil with only center piece of the 3 part spoiler gone. Second, my red is so faded that it looks pink :barf: . And Besides, I think it's pretty important to drive with a bumper on. :p
maybe I should change my screen name to pink devil LOL.

I have read in numerous posts that if your using a 255, an afpr is needed but if you go with a 190, it's not needed. Another priority would be to get a set of 550's down the road when you get some more money. As for your original question, I can't help ya there :| .

Keep the 255. You will need it sometime down the road. I had mine for almost a year before I needed it. The EVO III is a great turbo and you will want to boost more than 16 psi, honest you will, actually should have kept the 14b if you don't want to use the EVO to it's potential. I don't knw wh a '90 should be any different to install than my '93 was. Check out www.vfaq.com and click on fuel and then scroll down for instructions for installing the pump. 550's will be fine if you don't go over 18/19 psi. I would recommend 650's thpogh because you may upgrade turbo's and 650's will cover many turbo's up to a 50 trim.
You can get a bolt on AFPR from www.fullthrottlespeed.com for around $145. very nice.
heck i've got a set of 650's that wil be a year old in April that I would sell for $200. Buschur charged $400. for them.
Just hang on to what you have for now. Als fullthrottlesells a box that taps into the diagnostic port and will show you 02voltage and knock at the same time or over a doxen pieces of data in real time as you are driving. Called a Scanmaster. I love it and hated my palm, it was awkward and I like seeing the things as they are happening. Mark
