I'm looking for anyone that has info(good or bad) on a 2.1L
I've searched and I can't find anyone that has experience with one(other than calling Marco...which I will do).
I understand the basic principle and parts involved.
I know most will probably say just go 2.3 or 2.4 but I've been tossing a few things around.
We all know that a built 2.0 can handle amazing amounts of power reliably.
It's also been debated that the 2.3/2.4 can cause more wear, possibly more blowby, oil consumption(by reading many posts)
My thoughts on the 2.1L is that you would gain the .1L of displacement over the 2.0 and a better rod ratio(less stress, better revs')over the 2.0, 2.3 and 2.4.
I guess what I'm saying is that it sounds like it has the best of both worlds. Slightly better displacement(over 2.0), great rod ratio and possibly a longer lasting motor over the 2.3/2.4
Any comments are welcome.
In my situation, I would use this primarily as a daily driver but occasional track use.
I also thought this would be a good combo with my 50 trim. I think with a 2.3/2.4 I would probably have to get a larger turbo.
Sorry if this sounds like jibberish...
It's 4am I'm exhausted but I can't sleep
Thanks all.
